Mac OS X Tiger and New Apps
May 4th, 2005
I’ve got Tiger installed now and I’m happy with it. I wouldn’t consider this to have as many new features as apple is selling it with, however I understand that most of the changes are below the hood.
I like konfabulator better than dashboard, and I still use quicksilver instead of spotlight. Mail is a lot better than it’s predecessor so I’m actually using it this time.
I’ve come across a few good apps. Here they are:
AdiumX for a great multi-protocol instant messenger. free
Menu Meters for cpu and network usage in your menu bar.
SshKeyChain for automating ssh tunnels. I use this as a VPN solution.
