Playbook 2.0 Launched
RIM’s Playbook OS 2.0 launched today. I spent a lot of time on this for the past 7 months — Heather would agree 
It was my biggest project yet, got to work with a great group of people and we built the native PIM (Calendar, Contacts, Messages). I’m proud of what we did, I think its got some killer features which no one else has.
Also, I’m posting this from my Playbook running the Android WordPress app… fancy!

Temagami Camping Trip
Went to Temagami with Darin & Clint in September. Was a great time, we did the Turner Lake loop with a bush whacking portage in the middle which would be the highlight.

Camping season has started
Went out to 31 mile lake for a weekend, had a great time.
Miles is 4 weeks old
Miles is 4 weeks old today. Still a big guy just like Erika was at that age.

Knife
Made my first knife a few months ago and gave it to my dad. Here are some photos (click the first photo to see more).
This knife is called a “Pukka Guard”. It’s a 63 rockwell hardened steel edge, with a progressively tempered softer steel at the back so that its not brittle.

Miles is a week old
Miles is doing really well still, heather is hoping to have him sleeping through the night very soon, so far so good on that too.

Today is Easter. The easter bunny snuck into Erica’s room with a basket with a note to Erica. From her crib to the basket is a trail of raisins… going to be fun

Playbook
The BlackBerry Playbook launched on tuesday April 19th. This is a big deal for me, I’ve been working ridiculous hours to finish this device along with the rest of the team at QNX. It’s a big milestone too, releasing an end consumer device directly is a lot of fun, more involvement with the media, direct customer requirements, content providers, etc.

Welcome Baby Miles Thomas Cardamore
Miles Thomas Cardamore was born on April 17th @ 11:34am. 9lb 12oz, so pretty big! He’s healthy and happy, and loves to eat. He has his mothers chin, and his father’s hairy shoulders.
Erica and Miles hit it off right away, Erica didn’t want to let him go

Camping
Had a good trip camping with Kris, Gord, and Rob @ Sec lake in November. It was a bit wet, and not much sun but had a great time.
This pic is kinda neat. you can see the big dipper (maybe need to look at the full-res version.
And I like this one too (miss my d700 for noise though..)

Halloween was fun
